Result
Helen’s marketing team now makes its own social media content.

We made two workshops for Helen’s team, to support Helen’s goal for the second half of the year: letting more people in the team produce content. The sessions gave practical techniques and hands-on practice, and showed the team how to test and find new tools.

Workshop 1: Creative process and ideation

Aim: give team members practical ways to come up with new ideas and get past creative blocks.

  • Creative thinking exercises for new ideas and problem solving.
  • Group brainstorming, where the team worked together to improve and judge ideas.
  • Hands-on challenges based on real situations, so participants could practise these skills for their own roles.

This workshop was the base: coming up with ideas is the first step in creating content.

Workshop 2: Tips, tricks and tools for content creation

Aim: show the team how to make better content in planning, production and post-production, with a focus on quality and engagement.

  • Building media in layers: step by step, from images and video to colour grading and text.
  • Improving content: tools and techniques that make content look better.
  • Good practice for consistent quality.
  • Hands-on work: making and improving content with the tools and templates provided.
  • AI tools and how to use them when creating content.

In this workshop the participants took the ideas from Workshop 1 and turned them into finished content.

Results

The workshops gave Helen’s marketing team a clear but flexible way to work creatively and make better content. By the end, team members had:

  • Practical skills to come up with, plan and produce content.
  • A better understanding of how to make content that looks good and works.
  • Stronger teamwork from the shared exercises and challenges.

Since the workshops, Helen’s marketing team has started making its own social media content, and treats content creation as part of the team’s job.
